Manchmal ist man einfach zu kaputt oder zu müde oder gar zu faul, um sich zum Training zu motivieren. 
Das ist ganz normal und auch ok. Doch wenn dieses Motivationstief länger anhalten sollte, dann haben wir Dir ein paar Tipps zusammen geschrieben, wie Du Dich da wieder rausholen kannst.

1. Hole Dir in Erinnerung, warum Du trainierst
Ist es vielleicht zum Stress abbauen, Deine Figur oder gar eine Wette, die Du am Laufen hast? Ganz egal, welche Beweggründe Dich zum Sport treiben: Rufe sie Dir immer wieder in Dein Gedächtnis. Dann erkennst Du ganz schnell Deine Fortschritte und kannst Dich somit besser motivieren.

2. Nimm Deine Sporttasche mit
Und zwar mit ins Büro, zum Einkaufen oder zu Deiner Verabredung. Denn wenn Du schon unterwegs bist, fällt es leichter, danach noch einen Abstecher ins Gym zu machen. Wenn Du erst nach Hause musst, dann ist die Verlockung, sich eben mal kurz auszuruhen, groß. Und dann wird es schwierig, sich wieder aufzuraffen .... 3. Hab Deine Trainings-Playlist immer dabei
Spiele Dir Deine Lieblings-Musik auf Dein Smartphone oder MP3-Player, sodass Du sie jederzeit griffbereit hast. Mit Musik trainiert es sich leichter. Und die Vorfreude, gleich eine Stunde gute Musik zu hören, ist Verlockung genug. Wann nimmt man sich denn sonst die Zeit .... 4. Kaufe Dir ein neues Trainingsoutfit
Das ist Motivation pur. Denn schließlich legen wir uns nicht ein neues Outfit zu, damit es danach im Schrank liegt. Also gleich heute noch neue Sportklamotten besorgen und los kann´s gehen.

You know and I know, that that timeline is nothing, and those weeks go by so incredibly fast. 🤩 That’s how long Brittany has been on plan and as you can tell she’s down 45 pounds! I am so excited for her!!  She’s beautiful , but before she didn’t feel it. She was uncomfortable in her own skin and so so tired. 
Now she’s gone from an XL to a Small in her shirts. In 18 weeks y’all! 
The timeline of how long you think it will take will fly by no matter if you do something or not. You can either wake up everyday closer to where you want to be, or you can continue to stay exactly as you are, feeling exactly how you do right now in this moment. The choice is totally yours!

Brad is the Regional VP of Communications for American Heart Association where he manages all marketing, PR, advertising and strategies for North Texas. Brad has professionally entertained audiences all over the world singing, acting and dancing for Disney, Six Flags, Radisson Cruise Lines, The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and theaters throughout Branson, Missouri. Brad has hosted and emceed countless high-profile charity events all over the country and is the face and host of Dallas Voice Television – DVTV. He has also worked as an Arts Host and Contributor for WFAA Channel 8.

    I love food... YUM!! 🥗

I first became interested in a plant based diet when I discovered the documentary @PlantPureNation on Amazon. Learning from Dr. Campbell about his extensive research around the harmful affects of animal product consumption, quickly caught my attention. I literally grew up making sure there was a minimum of 1 animal protein in each meal. This idea was completely foreign and I had no idea that a plant based diet could prevent and REVERSE health conditions like heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer. I wish I knew years and years ago that animal product plays such a huge role in heart health, especially because my grandmother passed away earlier this year from heart failure. Had my family lived a plant based lifestyle years ago, would she still be here? Now I felt I owed it to myself to start learning more and implementing more whole foods and less animal product in my diet. 
It took 6 weeks for me to slowly cut out 1 meat category at a time. 
Week 1 was pork 
Week 2 was chicken
Week 3 was eggs
Week 4 was fish
Week 5 was beef
Week 6 was all dairy (knowing this would be toughest for me because of cheese 🧀) About 85% of my diet is whole food plant based (meaning no processed foods) and about 15% is vegan (meaning processed vegan items like bread, veganaise, tofu, etc.) Honestly, I have never felt better and more energized each morning. I thought at first it was going to be very annoying and difficult to make each meal, but honestly I’ve just been keeping it simple most days and it’s been working out great. 
I will be sure to share some of the food I make, recipes I love, grocery lists and stores I like to shop at over time. Hopefully I can inspire you to eat less meat  and eat more veggies 🥕

It means not settling. 
It means cutting out negativity- negative people, and negative thoughts about yourself. 
It means working on yourself, for yourself. 
It means being accountable for your actions. 
It means putting your best foot forward, even if you're wearing mismatched socks. 
People love you for who you are, not for who you are willing to be. They're proud of you and support you in all of your forms, mentally and physically. If you don't have these relationships in your life, time to cut some ties. You're better than that 

It takes 4 weeks for you to notice a change. 
It takes 8 weeks for your friends to notice. 
It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. 
It takes only ONE day to decide that you are enough.

    ***Current weight update*** This number was really hard to see this morning. Before I injured my foot I was down to my lowest weight of 225. I can’t believe in 4 months I gained almost ALL the weight back that I previously lost.

Before starting this program I did not weigh in - which sucks, because I don’t know exactly how much weight I’ve lost over the last week... but I do know I am seeing changes in my body and enjoying my workouts.

    Grilled salmon with cilantro quinoa, cherry tomatoes, red onions & cucumbers. This is a delicious meal I had at a restaurant recently.

I try to eat home cooked meals most of the time, but sometimes that’s not possible. So when I eat out, I opt for lean proteins with veggies or fruits. If it’s not on the menu, I ask for modifications. I know it may feel a bit uncomfortable asking for changes (particularly with large groups), but typically restaurants do not decline my request. I suspect it’s because I make it easy for them.

Here are a few strategies I use:

1) My 1st option is to ask to withhold an item. In this dish I asked them to withhold the crème fraîche. I do this with bread, dairy, & anything else that doesn’t support my health.

⠀
2) My 2nd option is to ask for a substitute. If the entree includes pasta, I’ll ask for a salad or grilled veggies. Or if I’m ordering a salad I’ll ask them to substitute the dressing with olive oil.
⠀
⠀
3) My 3rd option is to ask for a healthy recommendation. Sometimes I’ll share that I don’t eat gluten or dairy, other times I’ll just ask “what do you have that’s on the healthy side” & see what they suggest. Typically they share insights that I wouldn’t be aware of if I didn’t ask.

The key is to ask!

⠀
A few modifications here & there can make a significant difference in staying in alignment with your health goals. Conversely, not making those modifications can build up over time & also impact your health in a negative way. This is particularly true when you’re on vacation or are unable to prepare your own meals.

Wow this hit me when someone said this to me! How often do those poses that challenge us bring out the inner determination or frustration to master the pose. To hold on and not give in! But what would happen if we were to drop this idea. Drop trying to be perfect and make shapes, but instead in the middle of that challenge, arms shaking, balance being tested, determination and grit setting in. What if we could look to find steadiness. The steadiness of breath, but most importantly in the middle of that chaos, steadiness in ourselves to remain calm. 
I know I can think of times in my practise and my life that I have had to call on this idea.

    Japanese curry for dinner the other night using the curry paste pictured (not labelled vegan but I’m pretty sure everything listed in the ingredients is ok!). I fried off all the veg (onion, pepper, edamame beans and sweet potato) and some smoked tofu then added a can of coconut milk and the curry paste. Let it boil away for a bit and added some ginger powder, soy sauce and turmeric, also some pac choy, then served on top of basmati rice with some sesame! Very warming and filling
