I felt this on a level I try not to pay attention to. There’s so much I miss. My home that I lived in forever was sold a few years ago after my parents divorced. My son will never know that house. Or play in the back yard... Or walk in to my moms thanksgiving dinner. It’s crazy that the life he’s going to live differs so much from my daughters. I miss eating BBQ chicken on the back patio while watching SVU marathons with my mom while my girls played. I’m so homesick lately for that time. It’s a different kind of heart ache to know it’s never coming back. I love my life and the home my husband and I have made for our children. I just kinda miss mine sometimes too. Sometimes I miss it so much I can’t really handle the emotion. So this happened. It hurt. Badly. But it couldn’t be more perfect. For those of you that don’t know, I lost my mom very suddenly 2 years ago. I love the daily reminder that I have that she loves me. It’s her handwriting that I took from an old birthday card. My sister and my nephew both got theirs done at the same time. I love how I said do ya wanna? And they both said “YUP!” And we did it together at the same time and it was great. Not while it happened though cause the foot is probably the worst place to get a tattoo ever. It hurt. I’ll have my summer body with a heaping side of guilt, please. 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣ Said no one ever. 😑⁣ ⁣ Have any of you seen posts from other coaches, diet plans, gyms and such promoting “getting summer ready” or “get your summer body”?⁣ ⁣ This shit makes me crazy. 😖⁣ ⁣ You, my love, have a body. Period. Right now it’s spring so you have a spring body. When summer is here you’ll have a summer body. Fall? Yep, that’s when you have your fall body and dang the same is true for winter.⁣ ⁣ Do not buy the bullshit, shame and guilt thinking you have to change your body for a season.⁣ ⁣ My goal with all of my Mom Strong Method working mom clients is to have a body, period. A body for any seasons that feels amazing. A body that if someone asks you to go for a hike, to go to Antarctica, to go to the mall, to go take a nap- that you can say “hell yes!” to. A body you’re proud of and feel at home in and love- no matter the season, situation or day.⁣ ⁣ Wouldn’t that be incredible? That could start a damn revolution- if we said “no thank you” to the health coaches shaming us to get in to their program by pitching getting “summer ready”. Being fat is hard. Losing weight is hard. Maintaining is hard. Building muscle is hard. Feeling like crap is hard. Eating healthy is hard. Being busy is hard. Working out with kids is hard. Being tired is hard. . Girl, if you haven't noticed, it is all hard. It is hard to be overweight, getting out of breath after one flight of stairs and always feeling like the biggest one in the room. It is hard to go shopping when nothing fits and you feel so uncomfortable in your own skin. It is hard to feel held back by your lack of self confidence and have very little energy . Hard things come with consequences - good and bad . I would rather take a hard path that leads to confidence, pride, self love, happiness and joy. Rather than taking a path that leads me further down a path of depression, low self esteem, unhappiness and guilt . Choose your hard, girl ❤️ . 📷 @mrsdukesfitspo👏 .
