    Sushi can be a very macro friendly meal aka #healthyif you’re equipped with a little knowledge. Let’s start with the fact sushi isn’t something we can track suuuuper accurately - so take 2 seconds to get over it. Ok cool moving on 😉 Most sushi restaurants won’t have their nutrition info available. No biggie, Benihana or Ra Sushi offer great options in MFP and although not perfect, they’re good enough. If we’re eating out, we’re just estimating anyways 👏. With sushi we’re just trying to account for the protein source, ballpark rice intake, and determine whether there’s a significant source of fat. Appetizers: • Edamame (steamed soybeans). Half cup = 11p/0f/13c (9g fiber). This will do a good job filling you up if you’re the type of person whose historically needed to have 4 rolls when you only have plans for 2. • Cucumber or Seaweed Salads are fair game. Just ask for the dressing on the side so you can estimate the oil amount. • Miso Soup. One cup of miso has only around 2p/1f/4c. Go for it! Ok let’s talk sushi: • Fat Cutting Tips: Tempura and crunchy typically means battered and/or deep fried. If you need to save fat and these are not ideal. Another high fat source is a “spicy roll.” Usually that means sushi is mixed or topped with a mayonnaise-based sauce, which can add a ton of hidden fat. One tbsp is like 12 grams of fat. • Carb Cutting Tips: We’re basically just looking at ways to lower rice intake. “Temaki “are cone-like rolls made out of seaweed and wrapped around small amounts of rice and whatever other fillings you choose. “Naruto” are rolls wrapped in nori or soy paper instead of rice. Or if you’re feeling brave, just order normal rolls and take the rice out of half your roll. #highrisk • ProteinPacking Tips: Instead of making your whole meal sushi, you can always order some sushi and then add in some “Sashimi” aka a side of raw fish. Or another great option is “Nigiri” which is thin slices of raw or seared fish served over a small ball of rice.     [RECIPE POST] I kinda fell off the rail yesterday due to my hectic schedule. I was driving for 12+ in Bay Area traffic and my friend wanted to try the Popeyes chicken sandwich to compare it to the Chick fil a one (Chick fil a Will always be superior but they got competition now). HOWEVER I did eat within my calorie goal so I was still at a deficit and FORTUNATELY I did NOT gain any weight 😂😅. Today will be a makeup day and I aim to burn at LEAST 2000 calories so the clown doesn’t come back to bite. Anyway, here’s the recipe for this. Chicken breast: 6oz Baby Spinach: 1 cup Homemade White rice: .5 cups Cooked Peruvian Beans: .5 cups Homemade Habanero Salsa: 2 tablespoons Boiled Cauliflower: 1 cup TOTAL: 396 calories

    I still had 500 calories after dinner that I was saving for popcorn at the cinema 😋 but when I had my Nando's I was full and didn't need popcorn - I'd only end up eating the whole bag since Craig had no calories left 🙄🙈 so I did without. Came home and had a protein shake which just about got me to my target for the day 😁💪🙌 and I've still managed to bank some calories for tomorrow 😁 . My macro balance is getting better, I'm focusing on improving my calorie intake, having more fruit, more veg with meals, getting more protein from food as well as shakes 😁 and can still have chocolate -. I just have no need or want for it everyday 😁 . I've sprained my wrist so no lifting for 2 weeks 😱😱😱😱 don't know what I'm going to do for exercise 🙈 I'm already 😭😭😭 about the thought of just doing cardio for the next 2 weeks 🤢 I will find something to do!     After a lot of thought of what I wanted to achieve over the next 13 weeks of travelling in terms of my fitness and health. I decided to redownload @myfitnesspalapp. At the moment I won’t be focusing on macros but just calories- how much I’m eating and what I’m eating. But instead, I decided to cut those bars into bite sized pieces making them last longer (in theory!)😍😍😍 . . Really enjoying being able to bake again and actually eat my creations without going overboard on calories! One bar is a whopping 390 calories.     Omg it’s been an embarrassingly long time since I’ve done a progress // comparison photo. Honestly, the last time was about a year ago. 🤦🏽‍♀️ TBH, I was embarrassed about my lack of “progress” — even though I was working out, I wasn’t paying one bit of attention to my macros and tracking. At least not in any meaningful way. At the end of July, I made a decision to actually put some effort into my tracking again, and actually make use of the @avatarnutritionprogram I’ve been paying for forever. While my compliance has been around 70%, I’m still pretty satisfied with the direction I’m heading in. While my goal IS weight loss, I’m more focused on #bodyrecomposition,which is harder and takes a lot longer. I’m excited about the tiny bit of change I do see (especially in my legs). I’m determined to close out August strong, and walk into September with even more focus and determination.💪🏽#curlsxbarbells#progresspic#fitnessfriday

I eat well but still enjoy my pizza 🍕🍕 I never feel guilt with foods, just enjoy I train often but not always daily I don't always sweat or get puffed when I train I listen to my body and rest when needed I embrace areas that often people hate on I am always grateful to be fit, healthy and alive CONSISTENCY 🙌 Train the bod when I can Keep my NEAT high Track my foods and hit my calories That's it!
