    Squat work today. Havenโ€™t done a heavy single in 4 months (strict programming) so I was happy with 315 today. Singles are back in for the most part. Swipe for backoff. 3 sets of 5 at 260. Also did some front squats after and stopped at a 225 single ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ I think Iโ€™m just going to focus on my back squats for a while. Cya soon fronts.

    One of the questions we're asked most often is how to improve rapidly in Weightlifting, and the answer isn't really cut n dry. Our process usually is, make sure our athletes are strong AF. The majority of our athletes can catch PR cleans in the bottom, pause down there if needed, and can stand it up effortlessly. Early on, we deemphasize "how much weight in the Oly Lifts" and instead focus on shaping their technique, this is something that's forever evolving. From there we focus on bumping up their minimum, which we measure by what weight can they put on the bar and have zero doubt in their ability to make the lift. For most of our athletes, missing an opener is rare. Once our athletes have sound technique and crazy strength, we don't waste much time with percentages below 70-75% because the lift feels too different from a maximal attempt. Instead it's death complexes, triples and doubles, packed together. From there we adjust based on what the limiting factor is. For an athlete like Adri, who's a national medalist and 2017 Team USA athlete, the focus is getting the minimum number up (her opener) and the stronger she feels the more overall confidence she has in her abilities.

    Life update: approaching 4 weeks post show. Food is increasing and my fast ass metabolism is doing its thing so Iโ€™m still at stage weight. Weโ€™re focusing on adding weight but making sure we keep it leaner this go around. Mentally I am in such a better place than I was on prep. My mind has grown so much and Iโ€™m truly surrounding myself with good people. Physically Iโ€™m enjoying the growth that is slowly happening and Iโ€™m beyond ready to see what we can put together๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ Also I bet youโ€™ll never guess what I trained in the gym today๐Ÿ‘€

    This week has kicked my ass. Got the kids back to the school grind, husband is in the middle of job requal training, farm is still moving in full swing..yada yada. Almost didnโ€™t come in today but here I am anyway. Sweating it out in the sauna until the mister is done getting the rest of the gains. Next week Iโ€™m adding cardio. โ€ข Triceps and a bit of chest. Iโ€™ll be honest, I donโ€™t bench. Havenโ€™t done it since โ€˜nam but went for it today. It was a short day 4x10 of the following: single Tricep press, double Tricep press, skull crusher, incline dumbbell bench, cable flys, then worked up in bench just to see where itโ€™s at *drumroll* 95lbs!!
