    Drop sets. 
A drop set is when you continue an exercise with a lower weight.  Do a heavy set to one or two reps shy of failure, then immediately reduce the load (grab lighter dumbbells, move the pin in the weight stack, or slide a few plates off the bar) by 10% or more and do as many reps as possible. To extend this further, you can build up to multiple sets with drops on each one over time. 
Drop sets are a great way to increase muscle mass because you continue training the target muscles past the point where they’d normally give out, which heightens the stimulus they get. They create muscular and metabolic stress by increasing blood flow into the muscles, getting the heart pumping, and most importantly, fatigue the muscles to ensure muscle growth.

    Breakfast faves strike again: Jalapeño Potato Hash with a pasture raised fried egg, avocado slices, parsley, bagel seasoning, crushed red pepper, and a sprinkle of parm.

To make the hash, I sautéed onions, potatoes, and chopped jalapeños in a cast iron skillet for about 7-8 minutes, covering to help the potatoes soften and stirring frequently!

Finally having D I N N E R which was All Day Breakfast Frittata, this recipe serves 4 and works out at 6SP per portion.⠀

8 reduced fat pork Sausages I use Aldi ones as they are so tasty and you’d never know they were low fat. I grill them whilst a chopped onion is cooking in a large frying pan. Next add 250g button mushrooms and cook through so the mushrooms are softened. Slice up your sausages as it makes it look like you've got more and add to pan together with 150g of halved cherry tomatoes. Beat 6 eggs in a bowl with a handful of chopped parsley, salt and pepper and add 30g half fat grated cheese and a tbsp of Worcester sauce. Then add the egg mix to the pan followed by a sliced tomato or more cherry tomatoes on top. Cook on the hobb for 10 mins to cook the bottom then place under a preheated grill to cook the top. Can be served hot or cold. I’ll be having a slice for my lunch tomorrow. For instance, you don’t wake up a professional athlete. You start at the beginning. You get good at the basic movements and practice, practice, practice. Once you get good at the foundational things, you learn technique and strategy. Once you master them, you blossom into your own person, your own player. You add your own spice, your own element to the game and to your team.

BUT...All while doing so, you never forget the basics. You always have to keep practicing the moves, the steps, etc. that got you to where you are as a professional. Conquering the basics separates you from the rest.

The same goes for life. You have to start small. Be consistent with the small things. Get good at the small things. Then you can start to really grow in the right direction.

Dedication to consistency is key. Whether it be going to the gym or following a nutrition program, you have to start small. Hit the gym consistently 3 times a week for a month. Then set a new goal. Go 4 times etc. If you are counting macros, hit your protein goal consistently for 2 weeks before learning how to hit two of the three macros. Then when you get that down, challenge yourself to hit all 3. (carbs, protein, fats)

This is how consistency becomes habit. When we get overwhelmed, we quit. We make excuses. Make it easier on yourself by creating habits. Start small and increase your goal a little at a time. YOU GOT THIS!

    Living in my own head the last few days. I failed an Army school on Friday, bottom line is I fucked up an event that I worked really hard to get right....and didn't.

    Lifting while Bjorn naps/protects me from the hallway. New deadlift PR 11bs x6!  Felt strong and trusting my body to move the weight.  Listened to @mindpumpmedia podcast yesterday and has got me thinking about what “currency” I use to evaluate my life. I’ve come up with relationships. So that’s what I’m going to focus on. Thankful to have some amazing people in my life and I know that spending more energy on them will always leave me feeling fulfilled. #goals #liftheavy #moveheavythings

Tried to take meat off the bone that wasn’t there on bench. Had hit 270 last couple meets so jumped to 275. Thought I could have taken a better run at it. Came off chest fast so thought it was a done deal and started cruising...until it stopped 🤦‍️

On Friday, i was ready for squats. I wasnt expecting to hit a PR .. I was going to do chest and triceps that day but I was planning that for Saturday instead. Which we all know never happened  anyway I was pumped..it was hot assss fawwwwwk but I was super pumped.. I managed to squat 275x2 . To me it felt alright like I wanted to go up in weight so 285lbs it was.. I did the first time which I didnt record  (whata dummy) and by the second time I just couldn't do it..I mean I did it but not really yaaa know ..i pushed up because I didnt want the barbell fall and have all those guys look  lmaoo cause if that were to happend I would've ran off

I was going to do chest and triceps that day but I was planning that for Saturday instead. Which we all know never happened anyway I was pumped..it was hot assss fawwwwwk but I was super pumped.. I managed to squat 275x2 . To me it felt alright like I wanted to go up in weight so 285lbs it was..
