    Felt great going into leg day today, starting to slowly get in the groove again 🤙
Hit paused squats for the first time today, loved how tight everything felt in the hole. Felt the the stabilization I’ve been lacking in my squats the past few months. Excited to continue working pauses in the future and having a well controlled squat. 
Followed squats with RDL’s, and quad-focused leg press for some bloodflow. 
Definitely fried my legs today, I’m hoping to recover well this time 
Leg Day:
Paused Squats: 315x4x4 
RDL’s: 3x8 
Control the eccentric portion and you’ll get a crazy hamstring stretch at the bottom. Lock your legs as best you can and hinge at the hips, don’t let the bar sit on the ground (keep tension on your hammies). Also works your grip a decent amount if you go double overhand. I guarantee you’ll be sore. 
Quad-focused leg press: 3x12 
Keep a fairly narrow stance on the lower portion of the platform. Might have ROM issues if your ankle mobility isn’t there. -

    Hit a 405 paused close-grip bench today. Bar shifted to my left at the bottom and I managed to get it stuck against one of the pins before the lockout, but I got it! Last time I hit a 405 bench I was 20lbs heavier and it wasn’t with a pause or close-grip. Incline Bench 5x8 (5 working sets!)
Flat Dumbbell Press superset w/ Light Dumbbell Fly 4x8, 12 (Go for extreme stretch on flys, not heavy short reps)
Dips 4x8-12 (if you can do more than 12 slow it down and increase range of motion, if you can’t get 8 do assisted)
Seated Cable Fly’s superset w/ Pushups 4x10-12, 15-20 (drop to knees on pushups if you can’t do regular)
Around the World Flys On Incline 3x12 (go for stretch and squeeze, light weight here!)

I used to eat free without thinking about it, which lead me to the ultimate whale bulk. It was fun but, I’m happier now !

The difference now is that I’m willing to track my food - not just on a cut but, on a lean bulk as well

It’s VERY important you also control the rate of gain. Be realistic... if you gained 1lbs a week you would be 52lbs heavier in the year
. 
Lastly, be sure you’re following something you can adhere to. Implement refeeds, diet breaks and consume foods you enjoy
. 
Yes there will be “sacrifice” but, at the end of the day you’ll be happier you made this small compromise to be happy with your physique 365lbs days of the year
.

    Easing my way back in after the end of last week being ill.  How do you usually come back into the gym after being ill? Do you still lift as heavy? Do you go straight back into your usual routine (chest day, back day, leg day etc.)? Do you lower the total volume of a session or of a body part? There’s a lot of considerations for this, for example, what was wrong with you, how you got ill in the first place, was it overtraining? Was it a muscle injury?

No matter the reason of your time out of the gym, if your muscles haven’t been working for a period of time or even if the body is run down id always lower the intensity (reduce weight lifted).

Below is a list of ways that you can reduce how taxing a session is when you come back to the gym from time off:
* Reduce intensity (weight lifted)
* Reduce volutome - reduce the total amount of reps/sets completed on a muscle)
* Opt for a full body split rather than push, pull, leg etc. (Can also be a way of reducing total volume on a body part and still spending a decent amount of time in the gym/getting a decent session)

I personally chose all three seeing as my reason for absence was illness due to overtraining in the first place  I performed 3 sets on each exercise:
* High bar pause squats
* Romanian deadlifts
* Bench press

Feeling better today.. finally  these couple of days were driving me crazy.. I wanted to go to the gym and do some major lifting but I just knew I couldn't do that to my body & I didnt want to spread the germs. So, when I started feeling slight better I would just do minimal workouts at home. Just so I wouldn't feel sluggish

Did some leg workouts try to keep light on the weights. Even though I really wanted to beast out lol...but my workout had me sweating within 10 mins in and o was like okaaaay works for me and at the end bench press because why not ? It was empty and no one was around. Which means I recorded but it was getting dark  I need to practice more on bench form..
