    Happy Memorial Day fitness fam! I hope those of you who are off today enjoy and that those of you who are not are compensated appropriately . Holiday or not though, we lift 😉💪🏼 ——————————————— Movement: V Squat - 2nd of 5 sets, 7 reps, 325lb Targets: Quads, Glutes, Hamstrings ⠀ I’ve recently come to enjoy the V squat as it allows me to get adequate depth while also taking the pressure off of my knees and back. This is especially useful if, like me, you are decently tall, and have issues with traditional squat technique. ⠀ ✅Adjust your feet to your desired with (I went for about shoulder width, maybe slightly wider) and position them such that they are towards the top/front of the platform. Extend your legs, lift off the initial weight, and remove the safety bar. ⠀ ✅Keeping your heels firmly planted, drop your butt until you’ve reached 90 degrees (or less, if you choose). Due to the angle, it can sometimes be a little tricky estimating the exact angle your legs are at, but you will get a feel for it. ⠀ ✅After achieving the desired level of depth in the squat, drive your heels into the ground and extend your legs back upward.
